Innovation Research Center in Ultrasound Technology
MHM has a variety of successful applications since 17 years. Our innovative R&D projects developped in the Microtechnical laboratory continuously drived our products to fit customer demands. Within time we succeed in high quality customer services giving support in a variety of instruments which were installed by us mainly in the Watchmaking, the Petroleum and the Food industry.
Since many years we adapted spectroscopical techniques for on-line and real-time measurement. However, since 8 years our passion growth for the ultrasound spectroscopy technolgy and we developped a high level expertise in this area for non-medical applications.
Applications
Non-contact, non-invasive, non-destructive application of the ultrasound spectroscopy technique to the mechanical, the biological and the food industry
Projects portfolio
We have a large portfolio of projects. Our universal electronic aquisition system is quickly re-designed and re-programmed for the investigation of new area of applications. We work in the field of:
- Real-time non-contact measurement of thickness determination of submillimetric sheets with an absolute accuracy of 10 microns and a variation detection of 2 microns.
- Detection of submillimetric metallic particles at small concentrations in semi-viscous fluids
- Non-contact characterization of internal diameters of sub to millimetric tubes
- Characterization of objects at meter distances. The technology makes the difference between a human and an object. Application such as lift security in sensitive zones is foreseen.
- The company is driving the sart-up Nanotec Instruments which is looking for support for the Detection of foreign bodies in liquid and solid food. This technique is capable to detect bones, plastics, iron, flies, … during the process and once the food is packed. Knowing that most of the foreign bodies are organic and not detected by the actual X-Ray system, the ultrasound technique as large potantial.
- On-line composition of food products.
- Dynamic measurement of material behaviour such as foam expansion, vibrations, crystals growing, nucleation, destabilization of emulsions and suspensions,….
- Various imaging possibilites.
